I got this on my right thigh for my mom who loves to sew. Its done by Terry Grow at AAA tattoo in Lafayette, Louisiana. Terry is with out a doubt one of the best tattoo artist ive seen/ come across. Beautiful clean colorful lines with amazing detail, & he does traditional style (my favorite) better than most artist ive seen out there.

I’m currently studying to be a fashion designer…. Fashion is my life… and my mother means the world to me. So I incorporated both with my mothers first initial “sewn” on the upper right side of my back… I am absolutely in love with it, and can’t wait to add on to it soon. Martin is such an amazing tattoo artist:)

Done 3/14/2012 at Stingray Tattoo in Allston MA by Chris DeBarge. It’s FRESHLY finished in this picture.
I’m a theatrical costumer and this is my tribute to the women in my family. The sewing machine is a Kenmore 1750, the model my mother had and the machine that I learned to sew on. The quote used to hang over my maternal grandmother’s sewing machine in an embroidery my mom did for her, and the hand stitches to the sides are in honor of my paternal grandmother who was a quilter.
Chris kept telling me how excited he was to do it because it was so in line with his aesthetic as an artist, and I think it turned out awesome.
